A complete, turn-key redecoration on an eight-week deadline in Aspen, Colorado

Aspen Club Home

This design project was certainly among Cassandra’s most challenging due to time frame given for completion. A lovely family from Michigan purchased this expansive home in the prestigious Aspen Club area during the 3rd week of October. They asked that the entire design project be completed and installed by Christmas day which was only eight weeks away.  Every room  needed to be custom furnished along with art and accessories. Additionally, this was a “turn-key” project which meant all bedding, linens, china, crystal, and various house hold goods were to be added to the project’s punch list. This ski vacation home was purchased as a surprise gift to their family on Christmas Day. Cassandra accepted the challenge, but realized she would have to pull a dedicated team together in order to meet the unrealistic deadline.

Custom furniture, rugs and bedding were ordered only if a manufacturer agreed to a four to five week turnaround. Adequate time for freight transports had to be scheduled, which is especially risky prior to the holidays.

On December 23rd, staged truckloads began to arrive in Aspen. With the exception of a delayed Navajo rug for the dining room, all purchases arrived as expected. Cassandra and her team worked tirelessly up until the night of Christmas eve to make sure everything was placed in perfect order.

Living Room/Dining Room: Before

The realtor asked Cassandra to meet with her clients prior to the purchase.  The buyers’ only hesitation was the unattractive white beams apparent in the living room and dining room areas.  Cassandra explained that these supporting beams could be faux painted to look like an aged marble. The earth tone fireplace surround would dictate the color.
